My father since Feb. has been a dialysis patient and since late March has Medicare. He has Aetna insurance. Aetna is primary now, Medicare wont be until 18 months I believe. On the 23 of July he had a fem pop bypass (on leg). And his kidney doctor, not the surgeon, requested he stay some where for rehab. In our city there was I guess only two choices a nursing home or a rehab unit of a local hospital. Well while in the hospital we found out the nursing home only covered his insurance, so he has been their 10 days. Well now I received a call today that the admissions people want to talk to us because now they found out Aetna only covers if he has three therapies. He is having two OT and PT. And actually they had to stop PT because every day he would bleed from one of the wounds. We visited the surgeon yesterday to looked at the area that was still bleeding and he said they should of never had you walking, it was too soon so he had to put staples to close the wound. And the nurse practitioner of the doctor said really she believes they wanted to rush therapy because every visit to the PT unit at the home is being charged. Any ways the lady couldnt tell me much on the phone but said to come in, and she sort of sounded like for us to try to find a way to pay out of pocket for the days. Whose at fault, shouldnt of they look in the coverage before or at least a day or two after he was brought in? Well I hope no one ever goes through this. A few times my dad leg would bleed and soak the dressing. We would tell the nurse if she could change it and they would do it hours later. Thanks!

Can I Sue My Car Insurance Company For Fraud?

I bought insurance for my truck. after 3 months of paying my agent i noticed that my financing bank had added 1300 dollars to my loan as a collateral insurance because they did not have proof of my insurance. I went back to my agent and they explained that they forgot to send the payment for 3 months to the main insurance company and that is why it appeared to my bank that I did not have insurance. My insurance agent told me they were gonna do a re-installment and that they were going to give me proof that i had insurance for those 3 months so i could take it to my bank so they could remove the 1300 from the loan. It's been about 10 months and my insurance agent has not given me any proof of my policy so the bank is still charging me for those 3 months. (about 400 per month since im 20). my agent does not want to refund the money for those 3 months, and they do not want to give me a proof of policy. I do have proof of paying them for those 3 months since I payed with a check that they cashed. I want them to give me proof of insurance for those 3 months or to pay 1300 to my loan because they are charging it due to their fault since they forgot to send my payment. Can I do a civil law suit for those 1300. I have proof of my payment for those 3 months. I also have my policy number but it says it's cancelled due to non payment so bank will not accept that as insurance. right after those 3 months I opened a new policy with them and ive had it for 8 months and ive always payed on time. I recently noticed that when they opened the new policy they inputed my date of birth as if i was 40 years old instead of 20. I do not know if they did a mistake or if they did that on purpose to give me a better price. The thing is that all these 8 months I've been paying i was actually never covered since my date of birth was way wrong. Only my name was correct but I talked directly to the insurance and not my agent and they explained to me that if i would have crashed it wouldnt have covered me since they do not have the correct date of birth. I just fixed that directly with the agent and now they have the correct date of birth so the insurance price went up since im only 20. I dont mind about that. I just think it's unfair that i paid for almost a year and that i was actually never covered because they did a mistake on my information. Plus they caused the bank to charge me.. So i just feel like if all this has been a big scam since i paid so much and did not have insurance. Can I sue them to get my money back or at least pay the bank what the bank is charging me for not having insurance.. like i said i have all the recepits of all payments ive done and i also have a copy of the policy where my information is not accurate and how i was paying without being covered. My truck was hit by a car while parked in valet parking. The valet company was not driving the other car, it was a lady who tried to get around my truck because she did not want to use the valet. The valet company took her insurance information and wrote a report indicating what happened. I only have a few deep scratches on my bumper, but it is a new car and kind of want to get it fixed because it is new. I was hesitant to call my insurance and tell them about it because I have heard that a claim is a claim on my record regardless of fault. I did call my insurance to discuss the situation and when I could ask if my insurance would go up for a no fault claim, the lady told me she just filed the claim and an adjuster would contact me in a few days to answer all my questions. If it is only a few hundred dollars in damage, I would have rather paid it myself than have a claim. Well the insurance card in the tow truck was expired and not the right company . When the company switch insurance they forgot to put the new card in.. well since the drive that hit me did not have insurance the personal injury will be covered by the companies insurance. But the owner will not tell my lawyer the name of the insurance company or anything. And said your gonna have to take me to court. He is a real jerk btw. So does anyone know how I could find out online or something what company they were with at the time of the accident??

Im looking into moving, and I cannot help but notice that the quotes I am getting are, well, DOUBLE what I pay in California. The body shop guy told us that the car will lose 70% of his price because of the accident even if it is repaired... If the car will lose 70% of his value if it is repaired, and the insurance company decide anyways to fix it, what we can do ??? Pd.
